  Anttila

Anttila is one of the biggest non-food retailers in Finland and a part of the leading trading company, Kesko. Through its mail order business Anttila is also operating in the neighbouring country of Estonia.
 
  Challenge



Anttila's mail order business in Estonia sends out a seasonal catalogue of products to all its regular customers. In addition, at least once a year, Anttila used to make a mass-mailing campaign, where it sent out a catalogue to everybody in their address list.

At some point, it the costs of sending catalogues to everybody exceeded the benefits. Anttila was looking for more targeted ways to get catalogues across to prospective customers.

Challenge presented to Mobi Solutions was to design a mobile solution to make ordering catalogues very simple, so everyone who was interested in getting a catalogue could easily do it.
 
  Solution

Mobi Solutions designed a solution for a campaign, where a customer who sees Anttila advertisment in the newspaper, can send a SMS message with name and address to a short code to order the catalogue.

The incoming SMS-s were collected by Mobi consumer game management tool that made sure that the syntax of the SMS was correct.

The data gathered via SMS was organized and sent directly to Anttila's catalog orders department.

 
  Results

Anttila saved money by sending out less catalogues. Customer feedback from the solution was positive because the catalog was only sent to those people who wanted it.

Six months later, the campaign was repeated. This time, in addition to catalog orders, Anttila also tested product orders via SMS. Mobi Solutions was again chosen as a solution and service provider.
